Trash Bag for My Saab, in Auburn colors

-1772918078

My ever-growing kiddos had complained that the back-of-the-front-seat trash bag I had in our Saab was in their way when they sat in the back of the car. After sitting back there myself a time or two, I agreed.

Pinterest to the rescue!

I saw that someone had posted a photo and link to a trash bag that I could make to hang over the gear shift. Smart idea.

Luckily, the local Hancock Fabrics did have Auburn material in stock; that was quite a surprise, living in Gator Country like I do. I did make a few minor modifications to the original directions:

  • Made straps shorter by about four inches
  • Machine-stiched the orange trim on
  • Used plastic canvas to support the garbage bag rather than Pellon

Other than that, I followed the directions at Stephanie Hughes' site. It was easy to make and maybe, just maybe, it will reduce the amount of back-seat complaints.
